As Chief Operating Officer, Ryan Byrd leads Hourigan’s operational strategy, aligning people, processes, and continuous improvement to deliver high-performing projects and exceptional client experiences. His approach is grounded in disciplined execution and the use of real-time data and metrics to inform decisions, strengthen accountability, and drive consistent results across the firm.

Known for his steady, people-first leadership, Ryan works closely with teams throughout the organization to elevate execution and uphold Hourigan’s high standards. In recent years, he has guided the expansion of Hourigan’s self-perform capabilities, increasing efficiency and enhancing the firm’s ability to deliver work with greater control and precision.

Ryan has played a key role in Hourigan’s growth, including foundational work in establishing and stabilizing the Western Virginia market, experience that continues to inform his practical leadership approach.

Committed to serving both his profession and his community, Ryan serves on the Sportable Board of Directors and remains active in committee work at St. Matthew’s United Methodist Church. Outside of work, he enjoys golfing, hunting, and fishing, and spending time with his wife, Ally, and their two daughters, Naomi and Ada.
