Technology is changing the construction industry. And Hourigan wants to be at the forefront of innovation. In 2011, Hourigan partnered with Virginia Tech to help teach and train students about virtual construction and give them real-world experience to help move the industry forward.
Chris Brandt, Executive Vice President of Hourigan, has been deeply involved in this partnership and commented, “The biggest [goal] is a different way in which we can teach and train our students and tie them to the real world of construction so they get real-time, real-world experience.”
This video shows how Hourigan is involved with Virginia Tech and how they are educating students about BIM and virtual construction technology.
