Through Pennoni’s sponsorship of Virginia Tech’s Land Development Design Initiative (LDDI) they hosted 10 Virginia Tech engineering students for site visits to projects they’re currently working on in the area, including the Broad Creek Library. We were happy to give the students a tour of the library site! The LDDI program is a collaboration between the Via Department of Civil & Environmental Engineering at Virginia Tech and industry practitioners. LDDI is working to improve land development design education, including increasing student awareness of land development design as a career path; increase interaction between practitioners and undergraduate civil engineering students at Virginia Tech; and enhance research efforts in the land development area.
