Brian began his journey to safety leader by working in the skilled trades as a carpenter and machinist. Today, he provides the strategic direction for Hourigan’s safety team with the philosophy that people must remain at the heart of decision and action. This people-centric approach meets challenges with empathy, collaboration, and balanced solutions.
Brian brings a broad spectrum of safety, health, and environmental program management experience that reaches across construction, local government, aeronautics, and bio-medical industries. He is a Certified Safety Professional (CSP) through the Board of Certified Safety Professionals (BSCP), a Summa Cum Laude graduate of Columbia Southern University’s B.S. in Occupational Safety and Health/Fire Science program, a graduate of Liberty University’s M.A. in Management and Leadership program, and an Air Force Veteran who served his military career with a heavy civil engineering unit in the Virginia Air National Guard.
