The purpose of this project was to create a new home to accommodate the relocation of Philip Morris USA’s executive and corporate staff to Richmond, Virginia in the historic 250,000 square-foot former Reynolds Metals Corporation Headquarters. Situated on 34 acres, the architectural design is on the National Register of Historic Places and is designated a Virginia Historic Landmark. The renovation required that the existing building be completely rebuilt.
Due to the facility’s historic designations, key building elements were removed and restored to maintain its prestigious distinctions. Site improvements included the installation of ornamental perimeter fencing, entry guardhouses, new site entrances and parking areas.
