A nearly 90 year-old community bank, the client is in the process of changing the way banking services are delivered to meet the expectations of today’s customers. The renovation of the Buford Road branch in Richmond provided the opportunity to incorporate elements that will enhance the customer experience. We collaborated with the architect to resolve and refine systems and with the client, designer and casework contractor to create new, collaborative workstations for teller and client interaction.
The bank’s Corporate Counsel served as the project manager, which was a new process for him. We worked closely with him to provide education and prepare him for critical decision points. The success of this project has lead to several additional projects with Essex Bank.
