P014 E2-C2 / P016 E2-D Advanced Training Facility & Hangar

This two-phase Design-Build project provides advanced training facilities for the E2-C2 and E2-D Hawkeye Fleet Squadrons. Both facilities meet Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) requirements and feature a Secret Internet Protocol Routing Network (SIPRNET), Electronic Security System (ESS), Low Impact Design (LID), and Anti-Terrorism/Force Protection (AT/FP) measures.

P014: Two-story, 26,000SF operational training facility for the E2/C2 Advanced Hawkeye Fleet Replacement Squadron. The facility houses two high-bay trainers and associated development, brief/debrief, administration, and security spaces. Due to the advanced technology systems and supporting infrastructure needs, the building incorporated over 15,000 SF of raised computer flooring and utilized ten Computer Room Air Handling Units (CRAHU’s) which provided under floor cooling of the space to offset the heat load produced by the equipment.

P016: Two-story, 20,411 SF addition to the P014 building to support operational training for the E-2D Advanced Hawkeye Fleet Replacement Squadron and other squadrons based at Naval Station, Norfolk. The scope also includes the renovation of an existing high-bay area to accommodate the installation of a high-bay trainer and associated computer support spaces on the 1st floor.
