Overview

This project for the YMCA of Greater Richmond revitalizes and expands the Tuckahoe Family Branch YMCA. The project includes an approximately 3,715 SF addition along the main entry corridor on the east elevation of the existing building. The addition accommodates a new main entry and vestibule, along with an expanded corridor. The 21,882 SF of renovation work includes the creation of a new Family Locker Room, the renovation of the main entrance and adjoining corridors, the transformation of existing space into a new Child Watch and Studio space, the conversion of the existing gymnasium into a smaller gym with an adjoining fitness space, the addition of a new stair and elevator complex for access to the second floor, and the renovation of the second-floor studio space.
