Hourigan, a fully integrated construction and development firm, announced the appointment of Thomas Hatcher as Vice President of Hourigan Development.

Hatcher brings nearly a decade of leadership experience in investment management, portfolio strategy, and asset optimization across a diverse mix of office, industrial, and hospitality properties nationwide. Most recently, he served as Partner and Managing Director of Asset Management at Commonwealth Commercial Partners, where he led a team that at its peak numbered 13 people and oversaw more than 11 million square feet of commercial assets and 1,500 hospitality keys under management.

His strategic approach to investment planning and asset performance has resulted in the successful repositioning and disposition of complex projects in Nashville, Jacksonville, Greenville, and Richmond. Hatcher has also been instrumental in structuring high-value lease negotiations, overseeing capital improvement programs, and advising institutional investors on value creation in evolving real estate markets.

“Thomas brings a unique blend of analytical rigor and entrepreneurial thinking that aligns perfectly with the future of Hourigan Development,” said Mark Hourigan, Chief Executive Officer. “His experience in investment management and the ability to unlock value in evolving market cycles will be a tremendous asset as we expand our development and investment platform.”

In his new role, Hatcher will work closely with Matthew Hourigan, Vice President, to drive the pursuit of new business development activities, as well as the firm’s investment and asset strategy initiatives.

“Thomas’s track record in asset management and investment strategy enhances our ability to pursue new development opportunities and optimize our existing portfolio,” said Matthew Hourigan.

Brian Jenkins, President of Hourigan Development, noted, “Thomas’ insight into capital markets and investor relations will strengthen our position as a trusted partner for institutional and private capital.”

A graduate of the University of Virginia with a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering, Hatcher is recognized for his collaborative leadership style, deep understanding of real estate fundamentals, and ability to deliver measurable performance for investors and clients alike.

“It’s an honor to join Hourigan Development at such an exciting time of growth,” said Hatcher. “I was drawn to Hourigan’s clear vision for development that delivers meaningful economic impact in our region and beyond. The firm’s integrated approach and long-term focus create the opportunity to build enduring value for partners and the communities we serve.”
