FIELD MANAGEMENT

Acquire real world experience in constructing a building safely, maintaining schedules and budgets, and delivering at the highest quality.

Within the field management program, you will play an integral role in ensuring project success on site by supporting the supervisory team on key responsibilities in daily operations. Become an active part of project ownership by working alongside our experienced superintendents. Participate in a variety of activities including subcontractor coordination and quality control, drafting and submitting safety reports, project close-out, and creating punch lists.

PROJECT MANAGEMENT

Build the skills needed to ensure a project is completed on schedule, within budget and meets all quality standards through coordination with the project team, designers, and other stakeholders.

You will have the opportunity to assist with document control, status meetings and project close-out as part of the project management team. You’ll also partner with internal teams and vendors, establish relationships and attain insights on how to effectively communicate.

PRECONSTRUCTION

Discover the importance of planning before construction gets underway. Learn about estimating, uncovering cost effective solutions, and interpreting project drawings and specs.

Be a part of projects well before ground-breaking. Perform quantity take-offs, gain a better understanding of drawings, estimate projects, and begin developing insight into product and market pricing alongside senior members of the preconstruction team.

VIRTUAL CONSTRUCTION

Learn the fundamentals of virtual construction, including BIM management and coordination.

Experience how models are created and applied using leading technology and programs, including AutoCAD, SketchUp, Navisworks, and other systems. Perform clash detection, participate in coordination meetings, solve problems and mitigate risks as a member of the virtual construction team.
