Founder’s Hall, The New Community School

In 1973, four families were searching for the best educational experience possible for their children with unique learning needs. In 1974, The New Community School was created to address the needs of these children. In the ensuing years, the school has continued to grow and evolve into the child focused institution that it is today.

In 2015, when it was time for the school to build its first ever new academic building, they chose Hourigan as their partner. Working collaboratively with the school, Smith + McClane Architects, and Draper Aden Associates, our team delivered a superior 18,000 SF, 2-story building that maximized value and contained costs. We constantly challenged ourselves to bring forth student-focused solutions to the construction of the project.
