Investing in Our Employees


At Hourigan, our team is the epicenter of our relationship-focused culture. We believe that investing in our employees is one of the best ways to set the company up for success. Below are just a few ways that we help ensure each team member is prepared for a prosperous career.

Prioritizing Work/Life Balance

We strongly believe that time to rest and recharge is important for overall happiness and health. We offer our full-time employees 11 paid holidays, including 4-day weekends around main calendar holidays such as Memorial Day or Independence Day. Employees also receive three weeks of paid time off from day one and additional charitable PTO.

Our wellness program, Thrive, is another way we prioritize our employee’s work/life balance. This year, we dedicated the month of March to facilitating discussions about the importance of balance and how to achieve it.

Putting Family First

Most of our employees go home to their families each day. Keeping this in mind, we offer benefits such as adoption assistance, generous maternity and paternity leave, a company-covered healthcare package, and an Employee Assistance Program that offers free services ranging from legal consultation to identity recovery assistance.

Building Relationships

The onboarding process is a crucial time for new employees to begin developing relationships. We set everyone up for success by planning ‘welcome’ team lunches and scheduling orientations with each department ranging from senior leadership to IT.

Relationship building outside of work is also important. When we can be together in person, we host monthly company happy hours and sponsor recreational sports teams. Departments also host their own gatherings ranging from visits to local restaurants to team building activities such as bowling or volunteer events.

Personal and Professional Development

Many of our employees choose to pursue personal and professional development opportunities. We offer our team: an Education Reimbursement Program that reimburses up to $5,000 per calendar year for college courses; on the job training of which we cover the cost of related courses and certifications; and Hourigan University, our Learning Management System that offers over 1,000 courses on both technical and soft skills.
